PLEASE READ THIS FOR INFORMATION!!! On wednesday 2nd June 2010, I decided to do a huge journey which involved covering all of the East and West Coast Mainlines! INCLUDES: 1. Time - 07:30 Boarding the 07:30 London Midland 12 car peak formation for Leighton Buzzard and London Euston only. Passing Watford Jnc can be seen, and also the sleeper upon arrival at Euston! 2. Time - 09:00 After the short walk down to Kings Cross I boarded the 09:00 East Coast service to Edinburgh. Hauled by 91132 and 82226 on the rear! Calling at Peterborough, Doncaster, York, Darlington, Newcastle, Alnmouth, Berwick-upon-tweed and Edinburgh Waverley. Arrival time at Edinburgh was 13:37. The train then continued to Glasgow Central, calling at, Haymarket, Motherwell and Glasgow Cntl. (Please note the hissing noise was from the door behind me, which was stuck on someones bag!) 3. Time - 14:57 After an hour and a half at Edinburgh Waverley filming, it was time for me to continue to Glasgow, so I boarded the 14:57 First Scotrail 156501 to Glasgow Central. 4. Time - 16:40 As we arrive at Glasgow, my Virgin pendolino 390018 "Virgin Princess" is in waiting for me! This Pendolino was the 16:40 from Glasgow to London Euston. Calling at: Motherwell, Carlisle, Penrith, Oxenholme, Lancaster, Preston, Wigan, Warrington Bank Quay, then suppose to be non-stop to Milton Keynes. But... due to a track curcuit failure at Stafford, we came to a stand still for 15mins or so. But back to speed down to Milton Keynes, with one of the best sunset's ive seen in Britain! 5. Time - 21:03!! Finally arriving back to Milton Keynes at 21:03! 17mins late! So I was out of Milton Keynes station from 07:30 until 21:03! Thats 13hrs and 3mins out and about!
