HAPPY ANNIVERSARIES! It was a day of anniversaries for winner Christine McKend when the prize presentation team came calling! For shed been playing the Peoples Postcode Lottery for exactly three years and now part of her £25,000 winnings are going towards celebrating 25 years of marriage. Christine, 61, was overwhelmed when Judie McCourt handed her the winning cheque on her doorstep at Marina Road in Darlington. She said:Never! I cant believe it! Ive never ever won anything in my life. I think Im going to cry! It was Christines husband Stuart, 62, who signed her up to play. He said:With the Peoples Postcode Lottery we know the moneys going to good local causes. The couple are going on a Mediterranean cruise next month to mark their 25th wedding anniversary, and in October daughter Danielle, 37, is getting married, so the cash will certainly come in handy. And theres one more thing on Christines list: Ive always wanted my own car and never had one I might just do it now, she said. Between them the couple have five children, and seven grandchildren aged from two to 16, so there are treats in store for them too.
